This is my personal blog. I am passionate about information technology and security of that technology. I am interested in working in some kind of tech role. This blog is about me pursuing this goal. I know a lot of nerd stuff, but have always kinda sucked at marketing. This blog is an attempt to not suck at marketing. 😏
Free and open source
Since, information wants to be free, I think it would be silly to write content under a paywall exclusively, but I also want to earn some extra cash. Therefore, I decided to write all of my content under the creative commons license CC BY 4.0.
How This Blog Is Monetized
Free in free and open source means free as in freedom, but notice how the creative commons licence also allows for comercial use. I plan to monetize this blog by using the value 4 value model as well as some affiliate links and paywalls. These paywalls are a suggested value exchange, but you can also read the blogs for free.
The affiliates will be
- Businesses I use
- Businesses I feel comfortable recommending
- Businesses that I would recomend even if they did not pay me.
I will also try to advertize businesses that do not pay me anything, but I think they are worth looking at. Just tell them I sent you and maybe they'll send some value back to me.
